Answer:

An island group can be explained as a vast island group. It can also be described as an island chain that can be observed in a water body. In India, one can find two major island groups. Thus, there are two island groups in India of which one can be observed in the Bay of Bengal and the other one can be observed in the Arabian Sea. These groups of islands include Andaman and Nicobar Island as well as Lakshadweep Island. One can find Lakshadweep Island in the Arabian Sea whereas the Andaman and Nicobar Islands can be found in the Bay of Bengal. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands can be described as comparatively bigger and with a larger number of islands. These islands can be characterized as being rich in terms of biodiversity. The climate of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands can be explained as tropical in nature with diverse weather conditions which can be observed during different times of the year. The Lakshadweep Islands can be described as having fauna and flora in abundance. These islands comprise a group of thirty-six islands which are popular for the exotic beaches and greenery.
