Q:-Why do we need a government?

Answer:- Government is the central body that monitors, regulates the action, provides necessary services to the citizens and protection to the people of the country. Government is a group of people legislating the organised population. There is a need for government in every country; some of the reasons for the need for the government are as follows:- 

  1. The government assures the citizens to follow the rules and regulations which are instituted in the country.
  2. They make sure that the relations between the other countries and states are good, which can help them in developing the country. 
  3. They make sure that the rights of the individual are protected and are not encroached on by other people. 
  4. The government makes sure about the public services of the people like the department of health, which provides education to the children, provides energy to the houses and also looks after the human services. 
  5. They also make sure that the right of the individual is legally protected. 
  6. It provides health care benefits and a healthcare system to the citizens.
  7. Economic Development:- The government deals with the financial affairs of the citizens as well as the institutions. It includes taxes, price setting regulations, and investment guidelines and helps the country’s economy to grow. 
  8. The government also ensures the growth and development of the nation as well as it also increases people’s potential and helps them to survive. 
  9. The government takes responsibility for the old and disabled by providing them with financial aid, supporting financially backward people and taking actions toward reducing poverty in the nation. 
  10. The government ensures to create equality among everyone and brings justice to society by making laws and orders.   
  11. The government provides shelter to a needy person and also looks after the basic amenities required, which are food and education for the economically backward class and shelter for every homeless person.
