Answer: Rams Singh(3rd February 1816) was a Sikh leader who started the Kuka Movement. Ram Singh took the responsibility on his shoulders after the demise of Balak Singh(1862).
- To fight against the British Raj, it was started with the name the Namdhari movement. Ram Singh who was also called a religious leader and philosopher, created a section for the Sikh community which was also called Kukas.
- Ram Singh spread the roots of the movement in the eastern and central Punjab. This movement, later on, met with violence because of British forces and Ram Singh also chose to exile himself.
- The followers of Ram Singh were not allowed to learn English and join the British Government.
