Answer : In ancient history, Magadha is regarded as the region that was a part of southern Bihar, India. Rajgriha also known as Girivaraja is known as the first capital of Magadha, located in Nalanda. 

Magadha has a great historical  importance as it is known for the spread of Jainism and Buddhism.
