Answer: MDR is the abbreviated form of Multiple Drug Resistant. It is the case when the human body cells do not respond to treatment by anti-microbial drugs. When the body becomes resistant to three or more categories of drugs, it is said to be multiple drug resistant. 

This happens in cancer when the cells do not respond to any drug treatment.
