Answer: A jet stream is a band of strong winds that typically blows from west to east across the entire globe. Jet streams can occur anywhere in the atmosphere.

In the upper levels of the atmosphere, these are bands of relatively strong winds that are relatively narrow. The beginning of the monsoon, which is determined by the upper-level air circulation that is dominated by subtropical jet streams, is influenced by jet streams (STJ).

There is a one-to-one correspondence between the tropical easterly stream and the south-west monsoon that occurs in India.

The subtropical westerly Jet Stream is connected to the north-eastern monsoon, which is also known as the winter monsoon. It is a cold wind, and because of this, it pushes downwind toward the surface, which results in a high pressure being created on the surface.
