Answer: The term doab refers to a tract of land between two rivers. It’s a place where two small streams come together and appear as a formation of a big river. 

A doab is the point of separation between two rivers. The two rivers might be the tributaries of the same river. 

Doabs Located In The Punjab Region: 

  • Singh Sagar Doab is found between the Indus and Jehlum rivers 

  • Jech Doab is found between the Jhelum and Chenab

  • Rechna Doab is found between the Chenab and Ravi rivers

  • Bari Doab, lying between Ravi and Beas rivers

  • Bist Doab, lying between Beas and Sutlej rivers
