What are the Different Forms of Power-Sharing in Modern Democracies?

Answer: Power-sharing in a constitution ensures a balance between all the sections of the society. All the states should have some form of power-sharing. It’s integral for a democracy to increase the chances of opportunities for every individual. It brings political order to a country. 

Forms of power-sharing in modern democracy: 

  1. Sharing of power between the government bodies. For example the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. 

  2. Sharing of power between the central and the state government. This takes place in the federal system of government. 

  3. Power-sharing agreements, pressure groups, movements control and political parties.
