What are Garrison Towns?

Answer:  A group of soldiers positioned in one area, first to guard it but now frequently just as a base of operations, is referred to as a garrison. The garrison is typically located in a city, town, fort, castle, or other location. Any town with a military base nearby is referred to as a “garrison town” in this term. Arab-Muslim armies utilised garrison towns to strengthen their control over native inhabitants during their invasions of Middle Eastern territories. The ruling Arab elites expelled nomadic Arab tribe members from the desert, drafted them into Islamic armies, established them in garrison towns, and distributed the war booty to expand non-Arab, non-Islamic regions.
