Answer: The nationalist who stated the quote, ‘Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it, ‘was Bal Gangadhar Tilak. He was one of the freedom activists and social reformers. Tilak established the popular Home Rule movement in 1916 at Pune for self-government. He started this movement with Annie Besant, demanding the self-government regulation for India within the British rule. He was the first Indian who bravely demanded Swaraj means complete freedom and declared it on the open platform. This declaration greatly impacted freedom fighters and revolutionaries to struggle for complete independence for India.
