Answer: The city of Bangalore, which is sometimes referred to by its official name, Bengaluru, is Karnataka’s capital. It is the third most populous city in India and the fifth most populous urban agglomeration overall due to its population of over 10 million people, which places it in the category of a megacity.
Its location on the Deccan Plateau in southern India gives it its name. It is the most mountainous of India’s main cities, with a height that is above 900 meters (3,000 feet) above sea level.
