How many amendments are there in the constitution till now?

Answer: The most recent amendment to the Constitution is the 105 Constitutional Amendment Act. The Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) list-making authority of State governments was reinstated by the 105 Constitutional Amendment Act. 

The Union and States are authorized to designate the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes under the Constitution.

The 102nd Constitutional Amendment Act granted the National Commission for the Backward Class (NCBC) constitutional stature.

Still, the Supreme Court viewed this as removing the States’ ability to identify the SEBCs. 

The 105 Constitutional Amendment Act was passed to reclaim this authority.
