Answer: The Lok Sabha has more authority than that the Rajya Sabha:
(i) Any ordinary law must be approved by both the Houses. If the two Houses disagree, the ultimate decision is made in a joint sitting in which representatives of both Houses sit together. Because the Lok Sabha does have a larger membership, their viewpoint is more likely to be successful in a meeting like that.
(ii) A Lok Sabha has greater financial authority. The Rajya Sabha could not reject the government’s budget and any other money-related law passed by the Lok Sabha. The Rajya Sabha could only postpone it for 14 days or make changes to it. These changes might or might not be accepted by the Lok Sabha.
