Question. Explain Disguised Unemployment with an Example.

Answer: A situation where unemployment has termed the state when many of them are working less efficiently. Here people potentially fall under disguised unemployment and are referred to as the underemployed category. In such a case, a person considers themselves self employed, but in reality, they are unemployed (not working).

Thus, the situation is also termed hidden unemployment. Here, people follow up their faith in working on employment. The government has undertaken it as a problem to eradicate. Unemployment has been the most rising issue due to which people are losing their daily vulture.

The government has followed some policies or yojanas to help the unemployed people.

For example:

  1. In states or urban areas, unemployment is found disguised. Noticed a few professionals who are working as plumbers, electricians & painters. Such kinds are not able to find work regularly and partially work less efficiently.
  2. In rural cities, where agriculture is the real source of earning. Such kind of underemployment can often be seen in such lands that require only three or four people to work on such land. Moreover, there are only two additional persons required for any sudden or disguised situation.

After everything, employment is rising steadily, and people are losing all that they have. This has been the most serious issue all this while. Here we need to focus on a system that guarantees zero percent of underemployment. Moreover, the basic structure must be maintained that creates substantial growth in the labour force.

Overpopulation is the biggest reason our country is dealing with Poverty. After so many efforts and trials, nothing could work.
