Answer : Article 368 of the Indian Constitution deals with amendment of the Constitution. It gives the power of making such an amendment to the Parliament and lays down the procedure to do so. Such amendments can take place by means of variation, addition, or repeal of any provision within the Constitution. The procedure establishes that a Bill for such amendment needs to be introduced in either Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha, and needs to be passed by both of these houses by majority of total members of the House that are voting. The President then provides his assent to the Bill and amendment takes place accordingly.
