Q. A group of sailors is called ____?
Ans:- A group of sailors is a crew. Sailors use the term “crew” to refer to their fellow mariners. The crew of a ship are the people who are involved in sailing the ship and maintaining it. Typically, this includes the captain, officers, engineers, deckhands, and ordinary seamen or “salty dogs” who work in the engine room. A group of soldiers is a unit. An army is a large military unit comprising thousands of soldiers, usually organized into divisions and corps that are typically commanded by officers with ranks such as General or Army General. Military units are usually stationed at a military base or another hub that supports the deployment of multiple units from their home country.
For example, we can understand this with the help of a short story.
The sailors in the boat were all working hard to row it. They were rowing so that they could get to the other side of the river. The boat was getting closer and closer to the other side of the river. The sailors were rowing as fast as they could. Suddenly, one of them fell out of the boat and into the water. The other sailors stopped rowing and tried to reach for him with their oars, but he was too far away from them now.
The sailor started shouting for help, but no one could hear him or see him because he was in a different part of the river to them. “What should we do?” One sailor asked another with worry in his voice. “We need to keep on rowing,” said another one. Then suddenly, the whole crew came together and started working. With their teamwork, they were able to save the one who was drowning. After saving him, the whole crew managed to take the boat to the other side safely.
