What is Tincture of Iodine? Identify the Solute and Solvent in it

The solute is iodine, and the solvent is alcohol and water in an iodine tincture. Iodine tincture is frequently referred to as a dilute iodine solution or iodine tincture. Antiseptic tincture of iodine is used to disinfect wounds. The iodine tincture is made up of 2 to 7% iodine and the rest is sodium or potassium iodide.
