What is the Full Form of CNG?

Compressed Natural Gas is the full name of CNG. CNG can be used as a substitute for diesel, gasoline, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) (liquefied petroleum gas). As compared to the other fuels, CNG produces a lower amount of toxic gases when burned. Because it is lighter than air and disperses quickly after a leak, natural gas poses a lower risk than other liquids.

CNG’s Background

  • Natural gas was first used as a fuel for automobiles in the late 1800s.
  • Italy and many other European countries began using CNG as a primary engine fuel shortly after the end of World War II in the United States.
