Answer : Neutralization is mainly a chemical reaction. It is something in which an acid generally reacts with an alkali or a base to create water and salt. For example, you can say metal hydroxides and metal oxides. So, the neutralization reaction is the process in which all of this happens.
Some of the bases are generally soluble in the water, called the alkalis. The alkalis have a pH of 7 or above. On the other hand, water is neutral and contains a pH of 7.
Neutralization’s classic example is the reaction between the base and acid so that water and salt are obtained.
