Natural Indicator

The indicators obtained from the plants are called natural indicators.

For example- China rose, red cabbage, turmeric, and Hydrangeas is a flower that helps determine the nature of the solution. This flower turns blue if the soil is acidic and pink if the soil is basic and neutral.

Universal Indicator

The indicators that prepared synthetically mixing organic dyes that represent different colours at different concentrations of H+ ion in a solution

For example- Litmus paper or pH paper.
