Metals are substances that occur below the surface of the Earth and form naturally. Metals are usually lustrous and shiny. Metals are made of substances that are never alive and thus are inorganic.

Properties-

  1. Metals are generally lustrous and hard
  2. They are good conductors of heat and electricity.
  3. Metals can be drawn into thin wires which means they are ductile.
  4. Metals are malleable and they can form oxides that are basic in nature.
  5. They have high melting points and high densities. They also exhibit paramagnetism.
