How would you Convert Aniline to Chlorobenzene

Answer: There are two phases in the conversion of aniline to chlorobenzene which are as follows: –

The reaction of aniline with NaNO2/HCl is the initial stage. The consequence is the creation of benzene diazonium chloride, a diazonium salt. This reaction takes place between the temperatures of 0 °C and 5 °C.

The diazonium salt is then treated with CuCl in the next step. The Sandmeyer reaction is the common name for this process. A radical nucleophilic aromatic substitution is an example of this reaction.
