Give the full form of LPG and CNG.
LPG : Liquified Petroleum Gas
CNG: Compressed Natural Gas
Liquified Petroleum Gas;
- LPG (liquefied petroleum gas or liquid petroleum gas) is a flammable hydrocarbon fuel gas made up of propane and butane that is used for LPG heating, cooking, and cars.
- Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is the abbreviation for liquefied petroleum gas. LPG is a flammable hydrocarbon gas mixture made up of propane, butane, isobutane, and mixes of these three gases.
- Home heating gases, cooking, hot water, and autogas — the fuel for LPG automobiles and vehicles – are all common uses for LPG.
- Because LPG is a fossil fuel, it comes from oil and gas wells. Natural gas processing and crude oil refinery processes are both used in the production of LPG gas.
- Natural gas processing and oil refining produce liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
Compressed Natural Gas:
- CNG (compressed natural gas) is an environmentally friendly alternative to gasoline.
- CNG fuel is safer than gasoline and diesel since it is non-toxic and does not pollute groundwater.
- It is made by compressing natural gas (methane) to less than 1% of its original volume. This is the same natural gas that you use to heat your home and water, cook on the stove, and even dry your clothing in a dryer on a daily basis.
- Both commercial and non-commercial cars are increasingly using compressed natural gas (CNG).
