Define Ignition Temperature

Answer: The minimum temperature at which a volatile material will evaporate into a gas and ignite without the assistance of an external fire source is known as the ignition temperature. A volatile compound becomes extremely deadly when there is no extra ignition source.

  • The temperature causes combustion because it offers enough energy to ignite the substance.
  • The ignition temperature of the material will drop when pressure and oxygen levels in the ambient atmosphere rise.
  • Ignition temperature and flash point are not the same things.
