In fields, manures and fertilisers are used to provide plant nutrients to the soil, enhancing soil fertility and ensuring strong vegetative growth, which leads to high crop output. It aids in the enrichment of the soil with nutrients and organic matter, as well as the increase of soil fertility.
Though both manure and fertilisers contribute to soil fertility, they are not the same. Manures come from natural sources, whereas fertilisers are generated synthetically in factories. Manures are environmentally neutral, whereas fertilisers destroy the soil’s beneficial bacteria and, if applied for an extended period of time, reduce soil fertility.
