Why are Apples and Cashews not Called true Fruits?

Answer: True fruits are those that get formed from the ovary of the flower whereas the definition of false fruit is that it gets formed with ripened ovary along with the help of some other parts of the flower-like perianth and so on. Apple and Cashew fall in this category.
