Which of the Following is an Autotroph?

Answer: Autotroph refers to those organisms who prepare their food through photosynthesis or chemosynthesis. Examples of autotrophs are green plants, bacteria, algae, plankton, etc. 

Plants use inorganic substances like Carbon dioxide, water, sunlight, chlorophyll, etc., to produce their food and release oxygen as a byproduct. But bacteria use chemicals to prepare food. 

Heterotrophs then use this food prepared by autotrophs to get nutrition.
