Which is the Largest Bone in the Human body and Which is the Largest Planet in our Solar System?

Q. Which is the largest bone in the human body and which is the largest planet in our solar system?

Answer: Our thigh bone is the femur. It is our body’s longest and strongest bone. It is an important component of our capacity to stand and move. Many vital muscles, tendons, ligaments and portions of our circulatory system are also supported by our femur.

Since it is so powerful, breaking the femur usually requires a major trauma such as a fall or a vehicle collision. If we do have a fracture, we will almost certainly require surgery to fix the broken bone as well as physical treatment to help us restore our strength and mobility. The femur can be affected by osteoporosis, like every other bone.

Our femur plays various important roles, such as,

  • To hold our body weight when we stand and move
  • Stabilising us as we move
  • It also connects our muscles, tendons and ligaments in our hips and knees to the rest of our body

Jupiter has a long history of surprised astronomers, dating back to Galileo Galilei’s discovery of the first moons outside of Earth in 1610. That discovery fundamentally altered our understanding of the universe.

Jupiter, the fifth planet from the Sun, is by far the largest planet in the solar system, with a mass more than twice that of all the other planets combined.
