Where is Bile Produced? Which Component of the Food Does it Help to Digest?

Answer: Bile is produced by the liver and stored by the gallbladder. It helps to digest the fats in the food.

Bile juice plays an important role in the digestion of fats as well as in the absorption of fats by its contents of bile salts. They assist in the emulsification of the fat contained in the food into several tiny fragments, the surface of which can be attacked by enzymes secreted by pancreatic juices like pancreatic lipase. They also assist in the digested fat end product absorption through the intestinal membrane.
