What will Happen if (a) We Go on Cutting Trees. (b) The Habitat of an Animal is Disturbed. (c) The Top Layer of Soil is Exposed

Answer: (a) Fertile land masses will tend to disappear and people on Earth will witness more deserts. Ecosystems will face severe challenges as wildlife habitats will tend to shrink, and natural calamities like drought and floods will occur more often.

(b) If the wildlife habitats are disturbed, then the animals have to forcibly migrate to new areas looking for shelter and food. This will reduce their population due to frequent fights involving access to resources.

(c) When the top layer is exposed, lower rocky layers will appear on the surface. These layers are scarce in humus and thus less fertile. Thus it will result in increased soil erosion.
