Answer: Near the flower’s stem, you’ll find Thalamus. It refers to the thickened part of the stem of the flower known as the receptacle. This is where the flower’s structure begins to take shape. A modified stem that has distinct internodes and nodes, to put it another way. Flowers benefit from the nutrients it provides.
The stigma and style of the gynoecium, as well as the corolla and androecium, all wither after fertilization. Some species still have a calyx. The pedicel, on the other hand, strengthens as the fruit grows. Flower’s receptacle, or thalamus, provides the foundation for the fruit’s development.
