What is the Difference Between Oxygenated and Deoxygenated Blood

Answer: To learn the answer of this question, we first have to know the blood circulation system briefly.

In animal body, blood flow is controlled by the heart. First, heart sends Carbon Dioxide filled Blood to the lungs through pulmonary artery and the alveoli present in the lungs collect Carbon Dioxide from the blood also they mix Oxygen in blood. This blood is called “oxygenated blood” and sent to the heart through pulmonary vein. Oxygenated blood is distributed to the entire body through arteries.

Arteries, from heart, carries blood filled with Oxygen. Body cells use the blood and then CO2 gets mixed with blood due the cell’s respiration. This Carbon Dioxide filled blood is called “deoxygenated blood” and sent to the heart by veins
