What is Step Farming

Answer: Step farming is a farming method that is common in hills to check soil erosion through the help of water currents. It is also involved different steps that are built like terraces, especially in hills or mountains.

The occurrence of the rain can cause the heavy nutrient-filled soil to be washed off and carried to the down terrace. It also helps to support civilization, and increase the production of poultry crops and livestock. The main work of the system is to allow the aqueducts to carry the water levels and this kind of system was done by the Inca people.
