What is meant by control and coordination?

Our body’s activities are controlled by the nervous system, through the nervous system all parts of an individual’s body function. In a human brain control and coordination occurs by the endocrine system and nervous system that secrete hormones and produce hormones. There are 5 sense organs in an individual’s body: nose, skin, eyes, tongue and ears, those are called receptors; they function by accepting information from the nature around us.

These are vital for the proper functioning of an individual and regulate different functions. Control and coordination help a body to adapt to the changing environment and perform activities like homeostasis, metabolism, etc. Control and coordination also help in responding to the stimuli. This activity occurs through the ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) and PNS (Peripheral Nervous System) which consist of the nervous system and also control the musculoskeletal system. Control and coordination system occurs in every living organism including plants.

For knowing details about control and coordination, one must thoroughly go through the concept of the nervous system in detail. The nervous system comprises nerve cells and nerve fibers that help in transmitting impulses between various parts of an individual.
