What is Jhoom Farming?

Answer: Jhoom farming is essentially a type of agriculture. In this process trees and other kinds of vegetation are cut down to create a patch of land in which new crops can be grown. This process of agriculture is quite old and is also known as fire fallow cultivation or slash as well as burn cultivation The process of agriculture is mostly practiced by tribal people in the different Indian states of Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and the Meghalaya.
