Answer: A primordium is a tissue or an organ in its initial or early stage of development. The cells of primordium are known as primordial cells. 

Primordium is the easiest set of cells capable of triggering the growth of an organ and the very first foundation from which an organ can develop. 

Floral primordium refers to the formation of small buds at the end of roots, from which a flower will grow or develop.

It is an essential component in a plant for specific positioning and timely secernment of tissues that assist the plant in its growth or development.
