What is Broadcasting in Terms of Agricultural Practice

Answer: Broadcast planting is a method of planting where seeds are sown by scattering them over the soil. Seeds are scattered over the soil either mechanically or manually.

Seeds are first sown by scattering them uniformly and then covering them with planking. Mechanical broadcasters are used when there are a large number of seeds to be sown.

This method is used for dense plant spacing as a cover for crops and lawns. It is an easier and faster method of sowing seeds. Broadcast seeding is best for plants that can be easily thinned later. Small seeds are better options for sowing using the broadcast method as they require less depth.
