Answer : A cyton, in simple words, is a portion of a neuron or a nerve that constitutes a large part of it. It is responsible for managing the metabolism of neurons as much as possible. In simple words, it is responsible for the healthy metabolism of a neuron. Cytons have specific tentacle-like projections that are known as dendrons. 

These dendrites are then further divided into dendrites. The cyton is considered the central part of neurons. It is responsible for transmitting impulses from one to another in the form of electricity to the axon. They are accountable for triggering reflex actions.
