What happens when Rheo leaves are boiled in water first and then a drop of sugar syrup is put on it?

Answer: During the time of boiling, the cells of the Theo leaves die. This is caused due to lack of osmosis in the leaves, as the death of the leaf cells is causing the leaves to not intake water. That is even after sugar solution the leaves are not able to retain the solution.

When the Rheo leaves are boiled the leaves shrink at high temperatures. The solute content in the leaves falls off due to heating. The cell and its organelles are destroyed. As a result, there would be no osmosis after the sugar solution is inputted and no plasmolysis process.
