What are Parapodia

Answer: Parapodia refers to a lateral outgrowth from the body. They are fundamentally organs of locomotion which are used in swimming and creeping. In the group of sea snails and sea lungs, parapodium refers to lateral fleshy protrusions.

Parapodia can be uniramous but can be biramous. Neuropodia and notopodia both can process chactea.

Gastropods are those fleshy prostitutions found on the sides of marine life.

Clade Cephalaspidea, Clade Thecosomata, Clade Gymnosomata, and Clade Aplysiomorpha are some groups of gastropods where parapodia are found.
