Answer: The human body needs energy to function. When the body is not getting enough energy, it starts to shut down. This can lead to fatigue, mental fog and even an increase in appetite. Luckily, there are a number of foods that can provide the body with the energy it needs. 

Examples of energy-giving foods include Nuts and seeds, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, dairy products and Lean meats. All of these foods are packed with nutrients that the body needs to maintain optimal health.

Importance of energy in the body

To sustain metabolism and perform physical tasks, energy is taken from food or the body. The chemical and physical processes that occur within the body’s living cells are referred to as the metabolism. The quantity of energy required by an organism at rest to maintain the actions that sustain life is known as basal metabolism.
