The Main Source of Water is (A) River (B) Canals (C) Rainwater (D) Underground water

The main source of water is

(A) River

(B) Canals

(C) Rainwater

 (D) Underground water

Answer: Correct Option (C) Rainwater

Rainwater is the primary source of water. The water cycle is a series of events that include evaporation, condensation and precipitation with rainfall as the final product. In the water cycle, the source of water is critical. Lakes, ponds, canals and rivers are all sources of water that evaporate. The water cycle also includes underground water.

We all know that underground water does not evaporate directly because it is there within the ground, but it is absorbed by plants. Plants serve as a link between the water cycle and subsurface water.

The sun heat causes water in the plant to evaporate off the surface of the leaves, which is known as transpiration. As a result, subsurface water participates in the water cycle through transpiration. As you can see from the information above, precipitation is the primary supply of water for the soil.
