Answer: The primary and important function of stomata is the regulation of the photosynthesis process by letting plants take carbon dioxide and limiting the water loss when the weather conditions are adverse. Stomata is primarily a pore that opens and closes according to the need of the plants. Stomata are generally found under5 the leaves and on the surface of the epidermis. They are present on the underside because sun exposure in excessive amounts can result in function loss for the stomata. However, stomata can be found on both sides of the leave, also known as amphistomatic leaves.
