The liver produces as well as releases the a fluid that helps in digestion of fats. This particular fluid is known as ‘bile’. Bile mainly contains bilirubin, bile salts and cholesterol. Bile also contains bile acids that, in small intestine, helps to dissolve fat molecules. On the other hand, gall bladder is an organ which is attached with the digestive system with the help of a hollow pipe named biliary tree.
In digestive system, the prior function of gall bladder is to store bile temporarily. It also concentrates bile.
