Q. Mature ovary forms the _______

Ans:– An Ovary is a pair of female glands that plays a major role in reproduction. This is the part of the female body where the formation of eggs happens as well, and hormones like progesterone and estrogen are formed. The ovary plays a vital role in developing other female traits like body hair, breasts, and body shape.

A mature ovary forms the fruits. The egg cells are produced in the ovaries. These egg cells are known as oocytes or ova. The ova are then passed to the fallopian tube. This is where the place where the sperm gets fertilized. Post fertilization, this fertilized egg goes to the uterus. The change in the hormones makes the lining of the uterus thicken. However, if the fertilized egg gets implanted in the uterus, it continues to grow. If by chance, the implantation fails, then the urine lining sheds away in the form of menstrual flow.

A mature ovary is called a fruit because it also contains seeds already fertilized. Like fruits are considered to be the matured part of a flowering plant, similar to that a woman’s body is compared to a flowering plant, the fertilized ovary can be compared to fruit since it has already gone through the process fertilization. However, eventually, the zygote transforms into an embryo that the ovule contains, which matures and becomes a baby over some time.
