How is Silk Fibre Obtained From the Cocoon

Answer: The silks are mainly obtained from the cocoon stage of the life cycle of silkworms. The life of the worm starts with its eggs and then matures into caterpillars. Caterpillars when become butterflies, their cocoons are collected and exposed to the sun.

The next that occurs is boiling or being exposed to steam. This manages the spreading of silk fibres. The particular process goes through threading and then separated, which is known as reeling the silk. Silk fibres are then spinner accordingly.

After the process, the silk threads are obtained which are woven into the desired clothes and then sold to the customers.
