Answer: Based on the calyx, there are two types of flowers. one is gamosepalous where sepals are fused in the flower (examples- periwinkle, and hibiscus). Another is polysepalous where sepals remain free in the flower (example- rose). On the basis of the corolla too, there are two types of flower- one is gamopetalous where petals are fused in a flower (example- elderberry) and another is polypetalous where petals are free in a flower (example- rose).
