Explain the Main Functions of the Leaf

Answer: A leaf is a green component of a plant that is attached to it by a stem or stalk. Many trees’ leaves turn a variety of vibrant colours before dropping to the ground in the fall. Trees sprout fresh leaves in the spring.

The leaves of a plant are the organs that participate in photosynthesis, which provides the plant with essential nutrients.

The main performs some important functions. These functions are described below:

  1. By the process of photosynthesis, leaves prepare food for the plant.
  2. Leaves are also responsible for carrying out the process of respiration in plants.
  3. Through the process of transpiration, leaves get rid of the excess water from the plant.
