Answer: Reproduction is necessary for creatures to survive. The creatures reproduce in order to generate offspring that are similar to them. All plants and animals would have gone extinct if the reproductive mechanism had not existed. The only way for an organism’s unique characteristics to be passed on to the next generation is through reproduction.
