Draw a Neat Diagram of a Plant and Label its Parts

A plant has main two parts. The upper part that stays above the ground level is called the ‘shoot system’ and the portion that stays under ground is called the ‘root system’.

The shoot system generally contains a stem which is the base of the structure of the shoot system. Leaves, flowers, buds (axillary and terminal), nodes, internodes all are contained in the shoot system and these are attached with the stem and performs their own distinctive functions.

About root system, the main point to be discussed is the taproot. This is the strongest root that provides the plans a firm base to stay strong and upright. Lateral roots are attached with it.
